Been a While!

Wow, over a week and no update. What have I been up to, you ask? Pretty much nothing. I'm so completely bored out of my mind. I'm beginning to regret my decision to not attend school this semester, as I'm feeling fine most days and I think I probably could have done it. But, I had no way of knowing that. I still have no way of knowing if I'm going to continue feeling fine. My port has healed up for the most part; I just have some residual bruising and the incision scars now.

I'm beginning to get back into jewelry making. I started this hobby when I was in high school, but stopped when I just got so busy working that I didn't have time time. I tried to start it up again a few years ago but again, I became too busy between work and school. Now I have lots of time! I've made a few practice pieces over the last few weeks. Between me and my mom, we have managed to stock me up with enough materials to get started in earnest. So, if you're looking for something nice to wear, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I may even start an E-bay store if I have enough product to do so.

Ted had his drill this weekend. He had to do a rifle qualification yesterday--he hasn't used a weapon in almost six years. He only missed 'expert' by four shots! I'm very proud of him. The National Guard is a little more, what's the word I'm looking for, relaxed than the Marines. In spite of that, he maintains a high level of discipline and holds himself to high standards. Because of this, he stands out amongst his fellow soldiers. Some of these guys sound like real tools! One guy won't show up for several drills, then has the nerve to ask why he hasn't gained any rank! Some people just amaze me.

Well, that's about all I have for now. My next treatment is on Tuesday, and it will be the first time using my port. It's going to be quicker, hopefully, as well as better because it won't be hurting my arms like before.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope everyone is doing well, and looking forward to spring as much as I am!

  1. Nicole!
I can totally understand your regret of not going back to school. But, like you said, you didnt know what you were going to feel like during the semester. You did the right thing and took precaution. You have a lot of appointments and I would think trying to schedule and get that stuff done would be very stressful! What is in the past is done and all you can do now is live up each day! :) Take this time to do the things that you would like to do... hobbies and what not, catch up on life, visit people... whatever you would like. This is your time and make the most out of it. I have told you a few times before but I am really proud of you! You are so strong and have gone through so much in life! You are still positive throughout daily life and have a good head on your shoulders! I look up to you for that! There are so many people who love and care for you and enjoy watching up grow into the person you want to be! Keep up the good work and dont push yourself. All good things take time. I wish you the best with everything and even though I am in another country I am still here for you! Just drop me an email or we can chat on AIM or something. Take much care my dear and I miss you!! Love you!! <3
