Holy Crap, Free Dogs are Expensive!

I have just returned from picking up my dog, Harley, from the vet. She somehow managed an attempt to shish kabob herself in the shoulder. She had a dime-sized puncture wound just behind her elbow that I noticed this morning. I have no idea when she snuck that one in on me--while playing in the back yard yesterday, or somewhere in the house this morning. Either way, she seemed to manage to put a dent in my pocketbook. She's lucky she's so cute or she might have been out of luck (totally kidding). She had to be sedated and sewn back together with three little stitches. She's a bit sleepy but none the worse for wear. I posted a picture of her nice boo-boo.

Tomorrow is chemo...after that, only two more! That's all I really have for right now, as it's late and I have chemo early in the morning. Look for more later, probably about my thinning hair.

  1. Nicole....good luck with Chemo. I am very familiar with your illness as I sat with my sister Susan through all of her chemo treatments. She was dx. with non-hodgkins lymphoma about 7 years ago. She still gets Rituxan every 3 months. I will be thinking of you.

  2. Hello Nicole!!
Oh, Harley! It is a good thing that you are cute! ;) That is crazy, however it happened!
I am so glad to hear that you are almost done with your treatments!! :) That is wonderful news my dear. Best wishes with your treatment and I hope that you are able to get out and enjoy the wonderful spring weather! Are you taking classes in the fall?? Take much care my dear -- love you!! :) <3
